Hi,

I suggest you collect some system information using Microsoft Configuration
Capture Utility , and please send the CAB (Zip) file to me.

Please download the tool:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/Mpsrpt_dirsvc.exe

For more information and overview, please refer to link below:

KB818742 Overview of the Microsoft Configuration Capture Utility
(MPS_REPORTS)

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=818742

Note: The CAB file will be generated for your convenience in the
%systemroot%\MPSReports\DIRSVC\Report\Cab directory called
%COMPUTERNAME%_MPSReports_.CAB. The CAB file will contain the reports
generated by the MPS Reporting Tool. If the CAB file isn't produced, please
compress all of the result files under %systemroot%\MPSReport\DIRSVC\Report
as a Zip file. (Note: %systemroot% is the folder where you install Windows.)

Please send me the CAB file via the email : v-xuwen@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks.

Best regards,

Vincent Xu

I just upgraded to Windows 2003 recently, and got some errors.

There is a DC4.0, I install DC1 as BDC and promoted to PDC, upgraded to
Windows 2003, then I installed a DC2 fresh as Windows 2003, promote to
domain
controller, and transfered all roles/GC to DC2, DNS servers running on
both
servers.

problems:

1/ default domain controller policy: "Access this computer from the
network"
is empty, and added "administrators/authenticated
users/everyone/pre-windows
2000 compatible access", but after few minutes they kept missing again.
on
DC1, i cannot open "default domain controller group policy".

2/ cannot share C$, after made the share and kept change back to no
share.
check the registry for value "AutoServerShare" is "0", change to "1", the
same thing changed back again by itself.

on the application event log, keep getting errors event ID "1030/1058" ,
check with ID:887303, but not help.

3/ from workstation, I can not access the share "\\dc2\sysvol" or
"dc1\sysvol".

any ideas or solutions ?

Thanks
