Re: user profile is not copied after running admt

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

It hasn't worked for any of the machines that I have tried the migration on.
There is no errors in the log, so I am at a lost.

So, other computer migrations result in successfull profile migrations,
just this one doesn't?

The admt computer migration agent log file should provide you with some
detail about what happened and why it couldn't migrate the profile.

I've seen where the user logged on to the destination domain (via trust)
before the computer was migrated causing the profile migration to fail.

This is for a single user profile on a workstation. What happens is that
after the migration, the event log shows no errors and the admt reports
that the migration was successful. The workstation shows that it belongs
to the new domain, but when you login with the user, a new profile is
created instead of the user getting their old profile.

Would that be a single user profile on a single workstation, or all
profiles on a single workstation, or all profiles on all workstations
don't migrate?

What does happen when the computer is migrated? Any errors in the
eventlogs? Any errors reported in ADMT?

I am migrating from NT4 to Win2k3 using ADMT. User accounts, computer
accounts all migrate fine to the new domain, but the local user profile
on the workstations do not migrate. What would cause this?
