Hi,.
Since migration newsgroup mainly focus on the process of migration between
two domains. I think following newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windows.server.general
should be more approprate for your issue .
Thanks for understanding.

Hello,
Network Environment consist of:
2 windows 2003 Active Directory DC's with DNS integrated.
Some Windows 2k & xp clients.
Problem: Windows 2k & xp clients & mapped drive to a share on the samba
server.
All clients pc's have the same drive mappings to the samba server.
When a file is placed or changed in the shared folder on the samba
Thensome clients (win2k & xp) see the file instantly, while others donot even
though they still see the other files except the one just placed there.
thein about an 30 minutes to an hour all clients are on the same page again
meaning everyone can see the file.
Mapped drive to samaba server from both Windows 2003 box shows the file
instant its placed in the shared folder or deleted from the samba server.
All clients are using DNS servers for resolution.
All clients are in same domain / subnet including Samba server
Is this a:
client dns caching issue?
Windows 2003 caching issue?
Samba Server client caching issue?
Researched MS Technet and KB. Also did a few googling searches.
Any points in the right direction is appreciated.
Thank you,
hm
