I don't want to add the old BDC. I just want to make sure that it won't
cause problems.

The other, more important question is when ADMT states that the target
domain is not Native Mode does that mean I need to reaise the level to
Windows Server 2003 from Windows Server 2003 interim level?

Hi ,

Old BDC, you mean you still have NT4 as BDC?

After the domain functional level is raised, domain controllers that
are
running earlier operating systems cannot be introduced into the domain.
For
example, if you raise the domain functional level to Windows Server
2003,
domain controllers that are running Windows 2000 Server cannot be added
to
that domain.

Please refer to:

Server
2003

I am getting ready to migrate users from another forest in to my
newly
upgraded 2003 domain/forest. I just tried the migration tool (ADMT
v3.0)
and
got the message that the target domain is not Native Mode. The
current
domain level is Windows Server 2003 Interim. So, is this saying that
I
need
to raise the domain level to Windows Server 2003? I do still have a
BDC
but
we are planning on decommissioning it and I have already deleted the
computer
account in the domain controllers OU. Will there be any problems if
I
raise
the level without turning off the old BDC?
