Hello,
Thank you for posting!
No, Robocopy cannot migrate the local user. Based on your requirement, I
would like to provide you with the third party tool to achieve the goal.
Member Server Migrator (MSVR-Migrator)

| I need to migrate our web server (server 2000) to a new Server 2003 box.
I
| will eventually use the same IP address as the old box (NAT translation)
but
| the new server will have a different name. Both servers are members of an
AD
| domain, but do not run any services like DNS or DHCP. If I understand
| correctly, Robocopy will copy the entire WWWROOT directory with their
| assigned permissions so those that need access to the folders will
continue
| to have them. My question is, do I need to create the local accounts on
the
| new box first, or can Robocopy be used to move the local accounts also?
Most
| access is assigned to domain accounts and I think those will work okay,
but I
| have about a dozen local accounts that organizationsâ?? use to log in and
| update their groupâ??s pages.
|
