The target domain is not native mode - Query

Greetings all! I am currently working on our NT4 Domain to W2K3 AD Domain migration project and will be using ADMT3. I have all the necessary things set up such as trust relationships (2-way), etc. I am now trying to do a trial migration of one of our NT4 global groups using the Group Account Migration Wizard. However after selecting the Domains and servers I get the following message: THE TARGET DOMAIN IS NOT NATIVE MODE. Does that mean that I must set my W2K3 AD domain to native mode? Once I set the W2k3 AD domain to native mode would I still be able to access my NT4 Domain server via the current 2-way trust relationship? What should I set the Domain Funtional Level to? Windows 2000 native or Windows Server 2003? Would a migrated user still be able to access both his/her data on the NT4 Domain server and W2K3 AD server? I understand that member servers still in the NT4 domain would not be able to be accessed via the W2K3 AD domain running in native mode? I would appreciate comments re above. In future I shall be posting more queries as I continue working on the migration project!
