Replacing old server with new one

Hi!
We have an old win2k server running AD and have bought a new server which
I am going to install win2k server on. This new server is going to replace
the old one.
How is the best way to do this?
I have read some books and searched the net. And the way I think must be
the best is installing the new server with AD and choosing "Additional
domain controller for an existing domain". Am I right?
How will this work after when I pull the plug on the old server? Will the
new one automatically work as the primary server?
Any help or feedback on this issue will be truly appreciated! :-)
Regards
Oeystein
