Hi JM,

Thanks for posting!

I agree with Herb. You may refer to his helpful suggestion to verify those
settings. In addition, if everything looks fine, you may attempt to reboot
the two DCs and check the issue.

Thanks & Regards,

Jason Tan

| You don't need both (Lmhosts AND WINS Server) if you do
| (either one of) them correctly.
| LMhosts is tedious, easy to mess up, and difficult to maintain
| so go with WINS server.
| > I can ping between domains (IP and Name)
| Probably irrelevant since IP resolution is the controlling
| factor with ping, not NetBIOS resolution.
| > What else can I do to NetBios to allow the trust?
| Make ALL of the machines ESPECIALLY the DCs in each
| domain "WINS clients" of the same WINS 'database'.
| This (database) means the SAME WINS Server or a fully
| replicated set of WINS servers.
| After messing with this (getting WINS serves right) and
| each computer set to be a WINS client either reboot (hard
| way) or run:
| nbtstat -RR
| ...on each DC etc (-RR case counts.)
| > I have tried different "names" (using generic here)
| Huh? You have to use the REAL names of the domain.
