Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for posting here.
I still have some questions about your issue, so please let me know some
information as below:
1. You mentioned that the user account needs to access all servers and
databases. Is that mean it is a service account? Or it is a normal user
account?
About how to migrate service account, please refer to following article:
it/4ae8f471-f581-4470-91a0-72ef96405762.mspx>
2. As you said, the user account needs to access servers, is that means it
needs to access share folders on some servers(or some similar action,
please let me know in detail)
3. I also found that you suspect this issue relates to SID problems, we may
have test.
1) Right-click the file (or folder) and select the "properties".
2) Click "Security" to see if there are any numbers in "Groups or users
name" (The number is SID and indicates there are SID problems)
3) If you didn't grant the user permission but the group which the user in
it, you may try to grant the user permission solely to see if the 2)
happens.
Thank you for using Microsoft News Group and let me know the information
and results so that we can be of assistance.
Best regards,
Vincent Xu

| I have been migrating our NT 4 domain to 2003 domain since January. I've
had
| great success using ADMT. I recently encountered one issue I can't
solve.
| The user account was migrated -- then I migrated the workstation and
| translated the security. When the user logs on to any migrated
workstation
| using her new domain account, she has "access denied" on all servers and
| databases she used to have access to. I tried re-migrating the user
accoun
| -- no difference. I made a copy of her old domain account -- then
migrated
| the copy. Same result. The user can log on to the old domain and have
full
| access, but when logging on to the new domain, access is denied. I've
| compared her account to similar users that I migrated at the same time.
This
| user is a member of all the apppropriate groups. I have migrated over
2800
| users. This is the first one that I've had a problem with. It's like her
SID
| won't translate. Any suggestions?
