keeping the same user profiles and settings

Dear friends,
I'm writing you because I have a small problem I can't solve myself. The
problem I encounter comes from migrating users from one domain to another.
In my testing environment I created two domains: domain2000.com running on
MS Windows Server 2000 and domain2003.com running on MS Windows Server 2003.
Then I've established two way trust between them, and on Server 2003 I
installed ADMTv2.
After adjusting both servers, I've managed to migrate users (with SIDs and
passwords) and computers from one domain to another without any errors.
Now I have the following problem:
In folder c:\Documents and Settings\%user% are user profile from domain2000:
- Desktop Items
- Favorites
- e-Mail settings and downloaded mails (from Outlook, Outlook Express or
Mozzila - depended what the user is using)
- Users documents and local settings
When a user logins to domain2003.com domain, computer creates another folder
named user.domain2003.
Is it possible to keep profile from domain.2000 when user logins on
domain2003? What is the easiest way to migrate ALL user profiles (documents,
e-mails, desktop items...) so that user wouldn't feel that he is on another
domain? Since I have more than 100 users and computers in first domain, it
would be the easiest to do that from server. I tried Copy/paste all from one
folder to another but it didn't accomplish anything.
Thank you for your help!
Best regards
.
