Amanda, I appreciate what you are trying to do, unless the FSMT does both of
these things, your post seems to contradict itself. I want to make sure you
understand my issue cirrectly. I need to migrate the present file server to
a new domain. The files are staying where they are on the server. I just
need to change the server from being a BDC in our NT4 domain to being a
member server in our 2003 domain. Will the FSMT help with this or not? Or
would I be better to just reinstall the OS? Fortunately, the data is all on
separate drives from the OS, however I need to know if there is a way I can
preserve the security setting on the data folders.
Thanks
Brian
