Hi Frank,
You want to know if you can just copy your specific login.bat file to the
new Windows 2K3 server and it will work properly after migrating from
Window NT4.0 to Windows 2K3.
Based on my experience, logon script migration is specific to how the logon
script developed. For example, if you put "md c:\test" command in the
script, this command is supported in both NT and win2k3. Therefore, the
script contains "md c:\test" command can be successfully run in win2k3
server.
In other words, if the commands in your specific logon script are supported
in win2k3 environment, you can simply and directly copy the original policy
and assign it to be a logon script via GPO in win2k3 environment.
In the meantime, the Unix service for win2k3 is SFU, please refer to:
