Administrative Shares Missing - Logon Failure - c$, admin$

Scenario: Migrating 2000/XP Workstations from 2000 to 2003 Domain

Issue: After running "ADMT Computer" and migrating objects to new domain, I
lose ability from 2000 Domain to access c$, admin$ on these workstations,
however I have this ability from 2003 domain.

Error: \\hostname\c$ = Logon Failure: The target account name is incorrect.

Problem: As I am staggering the migration process we require this access
from both domains during this time. I noticed the 2000 Domain Admins group is
removed from the local administrators group, I re-added this and still have
no access.
