Thanks for posting!

Based on the description, both of the first two options are recommended to
be implemented. However, we do not recommend using the third method. Since
it is a child domain, we cannot remove the parent domain. For your
convenience, I would like to provide you with the following information for

NOTE: Exchange 2000 cannot be installed on a Windows 2003 server platform.

testing.
