You can actually fool the FMU into using a modified Mapping file.
1) In a lab use MSDSS to migrate users for a test NDS tree to a test Acrtive
dierctory tree.
2) Save the mapping file. FMU needs an actual file created by MSDSS.
3) Use the format of the test Mapping file to generate the new mapping file
you will use in your migration.
4) If you know the context of the users in both NDS and AD and all users
exist in both directories you can easily us a VB script to generate the
entries used in the mapping file.
5) You also need to replace the guid of the test mapping file with the guid
generated by the MSDSS instance in the producion network.
We had to do use this procedure because we used DIRXML to migrate the user
accounts from Netware 5.0 to Active Directory. Since the users existed in
both trees we did a dump from AD to create the mapping file. Since we knew
where users existed in both trees it was easy to create the mapping.
Cheers.
