Is it an NT4 laptop? NT 4 (and 9x) machines need to be
fully upgraded (SPs) and typically require the "Active Directory
Client Upgrade" in order to meet the Win2003 DC requirement
for "SMB Signing."
AD Client Upgrade is mostly known as DSClient on NT and
you should search the MS Website for that name, e.g., Google:
[ dsclient nt download site:microsoft.com ]
Should get you close.
