In reply to my own topic !!
NT4 is getting a bit fuzzy in my mind!
After further investigation NT4 should populate the %username% value
with the users name as you are creating the account.
I happened to pick one of the handful of users that still had
%username% in there profile path to run my test on. So my request is
not so urgent anymore.
Don't know why %username% had not been populated with the users name,
perhaps the profile had been moved to a different server and the admin
had bulk changed a number of accounts. Rather than creating the account
with %username% in the first place.
Any info on ADMT / %username% would be welcome, although i should be
able to sort any issues manually.
Are there any other tools for changing roaming profiles ownership to a
different user in a different domain ? - I've looked at moveuser.exe
but it seems to focus on local profiles.
My situation is I have a server with thousands of roaming profiles
sitting on a share. None of these users log into the server, so they
are not available via the system control panel.
Any advice or pointers to tools that can do this would be appreciated !
thanks
