Your answer is right to the point. I found most stations had an old HOSTS
file with wrong data on it. After removing it, some of the stations were able
to login. However, same stations next day are not login in.

Only have the DSClient in 6 W98SE clients. There's no real difference in
the behavior between stations with or without the client, because of the
modifications on the DC policy.

As you can see from the first lines of my original posting, the
LMCompatibilityLevel key was included on the registry. Now, you are talking
about LMCompatibility. Can you please tell me what is the correct value name?
