I have a large NT4 based environment which I like to migrate to Windows
2003.

NetBIOS domain name: company.com
DNS domain name: company.com

>From the top of my head there was an issue regarding to migrate to Windows
2000 if NetBIOS Dom and DNS Dom are equal and with a "." in the NetBIOS
Domain.

My concept is to setup an additional NT4 PDC Server --> upgrade this one
inplace --> W23 PDC EMU/AD Controller. NetBIOS and DNS domain name has to be
same like it was in my NT4 environment.

- Are there still issues with W23 which I have to attend?
- Will I have problems to access shares, logon to the network or any AD
trouble?
- Does MS support the "." in the NetBIOS Domain particularly with regard to
exactly the same name for DNS and NetBIOS in my W23 environment?

Thanks a lot!

Thomas
