Hi Al,
Do you mean you have encountered the error message "Setup cannot continue,
please close all programs and try again" when you install IE 4 on Windows
95 machine?
Technically speaking, Internet Explorer is integrated with the OS. In other
words, installing IE high version will substitute many system core files,
which are required to run Active Directory Client. Thank you for your
understanding.
According to my experience, IE 5.5 SP2 can be installed on Windows 95,
please go to the download IE 5.5 Sp2 from the link below, restart the
computer in Safe Mode and install IE 5.5:
