So, you both recommend created a third domain, which is 2003 native,
then pulling all the accounts, groups, shares, printers, etc. in? In
this scenario, how long do you imagine the 3 domains co-existing? Do
the heterogenous trusts generally work well? I like the in-place
upgrade because it leaves lots of fall back options, and makes a nice
step-wise plan. Theoretically, I like the clean upgrade using ADMT
tools, but I see many places where either minor disaster can strike,
or where extensive downtimes will be needed, and I'd like to avoid
that.
