Hello,
Thanks for your posting here.
Would you please let me know how you migrate the shares? How did you get
the error message?
I recommend that you backup and restore the share permissions by saving and
restoring the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares]
You can also refer to the following document for the detailed information:
How to Restore Share Definitions To Another Server

Have a nice day!

Bob Qin

Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windows.server.migration
I have tried to migrate several shares (user file space) from a
Windows 2000
server to a Windows 2003 server and several warnings were given after
the
migration. There were two erros for each share that gave me a
problem:
"Cannot enumerate open files on the share \\server\fileshare$ System
Error:
52, The network path was not found" and "Cannot read share
information
SHARE_INFO_2 \\server\fileshare$ System Error: 53, The network path
was not
found"
It does appear that the share permissions are copied over (I have
left that
option checked), but the permissions under the Sharing tab (under the
Permissions button) list only the Administrators when it should list
everyone. Are the two related?
