Hi all,
I have performed an In-Place upgrade on new hardware on our small network
(1xNT4 server and 15 PCs) as per the wisdom on this forum but have
encountered a DNS issue when running the Active Directory Installation
Wizard, at which point I selected the radio button to manually configure DNS
later.
Our old NT4 box (now the BDC) did not run DNS, the IP settings referred to a
DNS server at our ISP. Do I need to install DNS on our new W2k3 server to
get up and running or can I just leave the IP settings referring to our ISP's
DNS server?
Best regards,
Ian
