Hi Rick,

Thank you for posting!

I suggest you use Active Directory Users and Computers to try again.

1. Open ADUC.

2. Create a new OU and add the computers to the OU.

3. Add a new GPO to the OU.

4. Open the GPO and enable the following polciy.

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group Policy

User Group Policy loopback processing mode

5. Set other policies. Then, the policies should apply to the clients.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

| Hi -
| We just moved to Windows 2003 AD and we were trying to
| implement GPO on the client machines (windows XP). All
| the clients already have local policies set but we
| thought to implement GPO from one location (that will be
| from our DC).
|
| I installed GPMC and created a GP and linked it to an OU.
| But for some reason the policy(s) I implemented doesn't
| go into effect on the client machine. Does anyone know
| what might be the problem? Only the local policies are
| effected on the client after joining the Windows 2003
| domain.
|
| Thanks a bunch!
