Do you have another Windows 2000/2003 DNS?

I strongly recommend that you install the DNS Server service on every
Windows 2000/2003 domain controller as an Active Directory Integrated DNS
to ensure better performance.

You can just point the clients to the Windows 2000/2003 DNS server and try
again.
