Hi Cameron,

In fact, nothing is modified on the clients. So you need to reboot the
clients to update the new domain name, since the domain name is changed.

You just need to logon as the original domain user account and then reboot
computer twice and do not need to manually change the network settings.

Renaming domains is not a easy process. I think it is not hard for clients
to reboot their computers themselves. You can try to use Group Policy to
predefine the Primary DNS Suffix Prior to Domain Rename. Please refer to
the article of Step-by-Step Guide to Implementing Domain Rename.
