Hi Tim,

Thanks for your posting here.

You need to perform Security Translation before your logging on that
client. Or the new profile will be created for the target domain user.

If you have migrated the user accounts, you can manually associate the
original profile with the new domain user. You can refer to the steps in
the following article.

314045 HOW TO: Restore a User Profile in Windows 2000
<<http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314045>>

Generally, the steps would be:

1. Use domain user to log on Windows. Write down its current profile path.
Log out then.
2. Log in as the local system administrator.
3. Run Registry Editor. Locate

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

4. Find the profile path for that domain user and change it to associate it
with the original profile.
5. Log out and log in with this new domain user.

In addition, you can also refer to the following document.

Migrating Windows NT Workstations to a New Domain
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winntas/tips/winntmag/migrwork.

This article describes an automated process to move a user profile from one
domain to another.

Wish it helps.
