Hello Korn,
Thank you for posting here.
I understand that when you upgraded Windows 2000 to Windows Server 2003,
the system hangs at "applying computer settingsˇ±. This is a result of the
network card not being installed during the upgrade, causing the machine to
lose its' IP address.
Therefore, I suggest you to use the following steps to resolve this problem.
1. Boot your system with Safe Mode.
2. Check the Device Manager to see if your network adapters are disabled.
3. Enable the network adapters.
4. Update network card driver and reset the IP address.
5. Reboot your computer to Normal Mode.
