NT4 Domain to Windows 2000 Server

I have an NT 4.0 Domain SP6 that is old and about to run out of disk space.
I have purchased a new faster, more memory and disk space. We currently
have a license for Windows 2000 server but not 2003.

I would like to keep everything such as user accounts and shares the same
after upgrading. What is the best method. I have read a lot about AD, but
I am not sure about setup. If upgrading will AD copy over all the info from
the NT 4 server if upgraded.

Help is appreciated.
