Thank you for your post and also thanks to Timmy for his input.

Actually, in the pre-Windows 2000 systems, we cannot map to the down-level
subfolders in a certain shared folder. In other words, on Windows NT
systems we cannot map a drive letter to a remote folder unless the folder
is directly shared. It is a by-design feature.

To resolve this issue, you may individually share each folder if necessary
or only map the drive letter to the shared folder (the parent folder).
Alternatively, the problem will be resolved after upgrading to Windows 2000
or later.
