Dear Customer,

On the Windows 2000, we can solve the problem by this way.

1. Open My Computer and right click the D and select Sharing and Security
2. Go to the Security tab
3. Click the Advanced
4. Go to the Owner tab
5. Select your account in the "Change owner to:" pane. (If your account is
not listed here, click Other Users or Groups and add your account here)
6. Check to select "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects"
7. Click Apply

This will take the system for some times to replace the owner information
for all files and folders in partition D. When it finishes, you can delete
or change files.

Another method is that you can logon the computer with the administrator
which is created while installing the Windows. With the account, you also
can delete or modify files directly.

Note: if you logon the computer with the account you created, you can't
delete the files on D even you have the local administrator permission.

Thanks for using Microsoft Newsgroup!

Sincerely,

Steven Liu [MSFT]
