Hello M. Simioni,
Is there any need to have it on the domain? Think not, so keep the administrator(disabled in my opinion) account/password safe and create a second, maybe third admin account on it, so you can access it even when having problems with one account.
Best regards

Hi,
my question is simple.
Until today, we have a small domain in our company, with a DC, a
mailserver, a webserver, and some workstations.
Now, we're planning to install a new Webserver machine to a remote
data center, with more bandwidth and so on.
All the servers are Windows Server 2008 Standard or Windows Server
2003 Standard R2.
My question is:
i'm going to install the new server here in the company, and then we
will transfer it to the datacenter, with a public ip address.
should i join the webserver to the domain, perform all the
installations, and then remove it from the domain before physically
transfering it?
or should i leave it in the domain, even if it will be in another lan?
if i leave it in the domain, i will someday have problems logging in
to the machine?
keep in mind that my DC in my local lan, and it is natted by the
firewall, so the remote webserver will not see the DC server.
thank you i.a. for the answers.
best regards,
Marco
.
