Re: Exclude 1 user from Folder Redirection

Hello Immortal_Creations,

Move the admin account to another OU with none policies applied except the domain policy. Basically your administrators should have a normal user account and a domain admin, which is used only for administrative tasks. In this case the normal work is done with the user account and all "normal" GPOs. If you switch to admin tasks use the admin accunt via RUN AS function.

SCENERIO:
Setup Desktop Folder Redirection in GPO. Works like a charm.
TARGET TAB:
Basic - Redirect everyon's folder to the same location
Create a folder for each user under the root path
\\servername\foldershare$
SETTINGS TAB-
Grant the user exclusive rights to Desktop
Move the contents of Desktop to the new locations
Policy Removal- Redirect the folder back tot he locl userprofile
location when policy is removed.
Problem:
I have one Domain admin account i use to Remote Desktop to my servers
and occasionally the employees pc's. AFter logging off server1 the
user
folder is created for that domain admin. If i login to Server2, the
desktop files are saved in the same folder AND the files from Server1
desktop are downloaded to server2 desktop. HOW THE HECK DO I STOP
THIS?
it's only one user and it's an Admin account.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
