Thanks for your help.
Could you tell me where I can get the "robocopy.exe"?
On your Step 4. "Connect the old and new disk as slave disks to some other
Windows PC," Because my old disk is SCSI, I need find any pc with SCSI
interface?
Actually my olde c drive is in mirror setup. For the other drive in mirror,
what should I do?Or just leave it alone, don't do anything?

Hi,
I have a Windows 2003 R2 Standard server, SP2 that join to domain. It is
a DC. Now its c drive is going to be full. Is there any way to copy all C
drive data to a new bigger hard drive and no need to restore AD data and
re-intall all programs? Most of my files, programs and data is on D
drive. For C drive , I only install backup and anti-virus software. I am
not sure if this is right place to post this question?
Thanks for any helps.
Marco
I would do this:
1. Get a new disk of suitable size.
2. Partition & format.
3. Mark the boot partition as "active".
4. Connect the old and the new disk as slave disks to some other Windows
PC.
5. Use robocopy.exe to copy everything from the old to the new disk.
6. Connect the new disk to the server and test it. Do NOT connect the old
disk at the same time.
This is a low-cost and zero-risk method to obtain whatever partition size
you require.
