Hello vdz,
Normally if you have restored according to that articles the machine should work like before. What exact error message do you get?
Best regards

Hi Meinolf
Thanks for your link. Actually those links I did read as well before I
restored the System.
But the issue is now that the backup for system state failed because
of
corupt registry.
Should I restore the system state from the backup tape?
Regards

Thank you again your explanation makes more sense.
Since I could not start the windows, the error message
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or
corrupt:
\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
So I copied as below:
copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\SYSTEM
And again you are right about the registry, the backup failed
because
of corrupted registry.
Thanks and Regards,
.
