Hello davidb,
For the migration part you can use ADMT to migrate them under one forest. BUT as kj stated you can not run 2 domains on ONE physical machine, except you will complete virtualize them and then also make sure that the network builtup is properly done.
Best regards

Hi,
I've been asked to look into migrating 2 servers (win 2003 , and win
2000) each with seperate active directory domains and exchange onto a
single new win 2008 server. I have never been involved in a similar
project.
Although the companies and seperate domains on each of these servers
are closely related they would like to keep the 2 domains seperate
entities on the new server. So that they don't share folders/data/
users.
Should it be possible to create 2 new child domains under a shared
forest on the new server and then migrate (using the admt tool) each
of these domains to the child domains? One of the domains only has a
few users so I can even create a new domain for them and just manually
migrate the mailboxes and data for this domain.
Or am I going down the wrong track?
Would this be the best way of organising this?
thanks,
Dave
