I have a suggestion - don't use Techarena or any web forum "mirror" of the
Microsoft Usenet groups; you won't get the best experience. Use a newsreader
client, such as Forte Agent, Thunderbird, or even Outlook Express It's a lot
easier to do nearly everything that way. You can mark messages to be
watched, filter the views so you can see replies to your posts easily, and
search.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like; no authentication is required.

I decided to install what I need via flash/thumb drive, how can
I go about doing that?

Download the files onto the flash drive from whatever computer you can.
Connect the flash drive. Go to device manager, find the items that aren't
working, and install the drivers in there (right-click on the ones that have
exclamation points). Or, if the device drivers are executable / installation
files, run them. And install SP2.
