Hello Yorgy,

If folders disappear, most of the time it is done manual from users with moving them insead of copying. Did you search the folders on other folders on your servers?

Hello All,

Recently folders have been disappearing from our Windows 2003 Servers,
and it seems that it is possible that our backup software may be
causing this issue, but can't pinpoint yet.

Can someone please tell me if they have seen this strange behavior
before, to determine what may be causing this mysterious problem?

Looking forward to your help,

Thank you
Yorgy

Meinholf is spot on. I've lost count of the number of times "lost" folders were actually moved. What happens is the user tries to double click on the folder to open it. Instead, what they *actually* do is:

1) Click on the folder
2) Move the mouse (dragging the folder)
3) click on the folder next to it, dropping the folder.

I always look for sub folders in adjacent folders to the one that is "gone"...
