Re: Folders Mysteriously Disappearing

Hello All,

Recently folders have been disappearing from our Windows 2003 Servers,
and it seems that it is possible that our backup software may be
causing this issue, but can't pinpoint yet.

Can someone please tell me if they have seen this strange behavior
before, to determine what may be causing this mysterious problem?

Are you using junction points? Once, I realised too late, that if you
delete a junction point, everything in the folder it links to ends up in the
Recycle Bin. Don't empty the Recycle Bin before you empty it!
