Re: error login admin domain in vista client business

Usually, one does not use the user account called Administrator that is built-in to the Domain for anything, except initially to create some basic things in Active Directory, such as creating a user account to be used as a Domain Administrator and adding it to the domain group called Domain Admins and possibly, Enterprise Admins.

I've noticed with Vista, that if I key "administrator" into the User name field on the Switch User, Other User panel, the name shown under the Password box for "Log on to:" automatically changes from the domain name to the local computer's name. Perhaps this is what is happening to you.

To actually use the Administrator user account from the Domain, you need to key DomainName\administrator or administrator@DomainName in the User Name box.

Hi guys,
I need some help to resolve my problem.
I have a first new AD DS with win 2008 x64 entreprises serveur.
I create my user and group.
I join my vista business desktop to the domain, all it's ok.
My vista reboot, and i have the login screen with Ctrl+alt+del, it's fine.
But after put CAD, i try to open the session with my login and password of
the domain admin (in the list bellow i see the icon with
MYDOMAIN\administrator) good.
Why i put the password of the admin, i have the error message with check the
name of the user and password.
If i open a session with an user account of the domain it's work well.
But i wan't to know why i can log with the domain admin ??

If someone have an Idea??
