Re: Domain User Question

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hello Rick,

Use process monitor to figure out the needed settings for the users. This tool helps you to find the processes and registry keys which needs to get updated permissions. Just for running applications there is no need to give users more permissions.

I am new to using a domain.
My question is that some of my users when operating on their windows
profile
(pre- domain) had to have rights as a "power user" in order to run
certain
applications.
Now that they have joined the domain as a user, these applications
will not
run correctly.
How can I set the equivient of a "power user" in the domain users
groups (I do not want them to have admin rights).

It does appear the the program I am refering to must be able to write
to the local registry.

Thanks

Rick
