USB externals for Backup (SBS)

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Let me preface this with - the network budget is very small. I'm running
backups across the network to an external drive (use device) attached to
another server on the domain. Each time the server runs a backup, the server
gets partially done, about 18-20 gig backup, then crashes with a blue screen
because -
"MS DTC could not correctly process a DC Promotion/Demotion event. MS DTC
will continue to function and will use the existing security settings. Error
Specifics: d:\nt\com\complus\dtc\dtc\adme\uiname.cpp:9351, Pid: 1476
No Callstack,
CmdLine: C:\WINDOWS\system32\msdtc.exe"

This occurs when an active directory is changed. Why does it happen during
a backup?

Also, would it help to change this reg entry?

The EventSystem sub system is suppressing duplicate event log entries for a
duration of 86400 seconds. The suppression timeout can be controlled by a
REG_DWORD value named SuppressDuplicateDuration under the following registry
key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\EventSystem\EventLog.

Ultimately now there is a remote call to the other server hanging:
The description for Event ID ( 19011 ) in Source ( MSSQL$MSFW ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able
to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
(SpnRegister) : Error 1355.

THE MSDTC fails on the SBS
The description for Event ID ( 19011 ) in Source ( MSSQL$SBSMONITORING )
cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer.
You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see
Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
(SpnRegister) : Error 1355.

And finally the information is pushed out to me:

The DHCP service has detected that it is running on a DC and has no
credentials configured for use with Dynamic DNS registrations initiated by
the DHCP service. This is not a recommended security configuration.
Credentials for Dynamic DNS registrations may be configured using the command
line "netsh dhcp server set dnscredentials" or via the DHCP Administrative
tool.

EXCEPT
I have no idea what DNS registration I would provide other than that of the
administrator of the domain and as far as I know, no one else should require
this information. Should I provide that information as a credential to the
DHCP server?

HELP!
