I think the default settings are for a DC to Require, and a member to Request signing and/or encryption. This affects any non Windows NT client.
You would have to judge for yourself what extra security risk this creates.

We are introducing a Citrix Wan Scaler into our environment, it is suppose to
compress and cache files etc..

It does this to CIFS which is the file system between windows servers, but
we are getting security errors. Citrix is telling us if we disable the
digitally encrypt signing then it will compress normally and all will be ok,
what they are not telling us is what effect does that have on the environment.

so microsoft gurus, setting these settings to disabled on your domain
enviroment, what security issues might we see
1. Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel data
2. Digitally encrypt ssecure channel data
3. Digitally sign secure channel data
