<Server> System State Backup Folder Created out of the blue!

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi everyone-

Today some of our users complained that their user folders were
missing. We thought perhaps someone moved something by accident as
happens from time to time.

We found their folders at the root level of that share - in a folder
called "WS02 System State Backup", which had these folder under it:

Users
---> John
---> Bob
---> Tom
---> ... The rest of the missing user files..
atgpc.log
NT06 SS Backup.BKF
SSBackup From WS02.BKF

One of the users folders, only a couple of files were moved into this
folder, leaving the majority of his files back in the user directory.
Everyone else, their complete folders was missing, and mysteriously
moved to this location.

Does anyone have any idea how this got created, or what process
created it? It's great that these files were kept, and not killed, so
we didn't have to go to a backup, but after culling through the event
viewer, I cannot find any reason why this occurred. I would expect
some earthquake with a log saying, "SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENED!" I
just want to make sure that my server isn't on the verge of a
catastrophe. Sorry to be so doom and gloom, I should just be happy
that WSS is mainly taking care of itself.

Thanks in Advance!
