Kerry,
I have tried what you suggwsted, but I get a message that there is no
bootable disk found. The only disk I have for Windows Server 2003 is the SP1.
I even tried to install the software, and I get a message that the software I
am trying to upgrade is not found. I am really at a loss what else to try.
You need a Windows Server 2003 installation CD that is the same service pack level as your installed OS. If you don't have this you need to obtain it. There are other ways to do this like using a Live Linux CD. Using a Linux CD could mess up the file system if you don't know what you are doing. Do you have a known good backup? I don't know what your level of expertise is so I'm going to recommend you hire someone that has the expertise to fix this problem for you. If you want to do it yourself it is imperative that you have a backup before proceeding any farther. Can you confirm you have a known good backup?
