do you actually get the Event ID 21 in the event log ?
please copy the event into a post
any other errors at that time, or leading up to it ?

It is hidden and flagged as a system file, on the CMD prompt type:
C:\>attrib boot.ini
and you can see the file

However as SP2 already included fixes for 907875, cannot apply it any
Not able to follow workaround solution as no boot.ini file can be
again.Re-registered the vss services only work for two days and failed
Server configuration:
Intel Xeon 3GHz
1GB memory
hard disk 150GB, only using 30GB of it
maximum page file size set to 4GB
