Re: Application services stop unexpectedly and due to unknown reas

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi,

I received the same error (event id 7034: The service terminated
unexpectedly. this has done this n times....) when i stopped a running
process of the application from the task manager. But this event was not
followed by event id 1004 or 1000 in the application log which normally
happens with the client application in the production server.

Would appreciate if anyone help me know why this event 7034 wasnot followed
by other mentioned events. And would there be any process time or memory
usage limit for the processes that after a limit the process would stop in
the task manager?

Please help me with the above. Also if someone can pass on their msn id, i
would prefer to have a chat to better understand this.

Many thanks for your ongoing help.

Regards,
Naaz.

Hi Meinolf,

Thanks for the reply. Yes the application supports windows server 2003. The
application is Livelink 9.7.0. Have you come across such errors in the event
logs after the application services stop?

Many Thanks,
Naaz.

Hello Naaz,

Is the application supported for 2003 from the vendor of it? What application
is it?

Hi,

We have installed our client application on Windows server 2003 R2 SP2
product. The client application service stop due to unknown reasons.
We receive errors for the event id 7031 (the application name service
has terminated unexpectedly. This has done this x times. The following
action will be taken), 1000 and 1004 (Faulting application x.exe,
faulting version ...., faulting module) in the event log.

I am unable to understand its actual cause and resolution? Is it only
because of the client appliction (it is compatible with the product)
or with the product?

Please help me know.

Thanks,
Naaz.
