hello,
that is what we would normally do, but we are actually using our test server
at present as a live server due to issues with the live server, we have been
told to install sp2 on the live server but the main link page is still active
on the live server directing the traffic to the dev server. So if we lose IIS
on the live we will lose main link to the dev from the live.

I do not know the answer, however:.
If you have a test server, even on a Virtual Machine, you can quiet easily
test it.
In any case, before you apply a service pack to a production host, you
should test it on a test server as a best practice.

Edwin.

stop
Hello,
We are wanting to install service pack 2 on one of our Windows Server 2003
machines which is running IIS6.0 and we need to know if this will stop the
service during the period of the install. We understand it will need to
on a reboot but will it stop during the complete installation of ServicePack
2.
Thanks for responses in advance.
