The symptoms all point to writing to the disk. These articles may help. Since you have two servers doing the same thing I think I'd look at the hardware. Possibly the scsi bus terminations and or controller firmware are to blame.

There are more, like I mentioned in my previous posts, but those confused me
a little, they always follow with a bunch of event id 333 application popup
errors.
