I have never read so many posts and still not be sure of the correct answer.
1. If I have a server 2003 installed before R2 was released, is there an
"upgrade" to R2 without buying the whole new product ?
R2 is not an upgrade. It's a new release. You need new software and
licenses....
2. If I have server 2003 installed after R2 was released (have the CD2),
but exited the install when asked about installing additional features from
CD2, can I now make it an R2 ? Just run adprep and setup2 from the CD2 ??
Now, *I'm* confused.... ;-)
Did you install 2003 or 2003 R2? If it was 2003, you can't use CD2 from
2003 R2 to "upgrade?
Thanks for clearing this up.
